Our origins
We are an artisanal jewelry brand with Mediterranean inspiration.
Majoral is a vital and creative project that began on the island of Formentera in 1974.
In contact with the values and liberating spirit of the 1970s, Enric Majoral and Dolors Ballester found in craftsmanship a tool to connect with everything that is primordial, a return to the heritage of Mediterranean cultures and a coherent and sincere way of living.
Over the decades, the Majoral project has integrated the children, Savina and Roc, creating a family business that maintains its connection with the island and its imagery intact. An imagery that is found at the base of its particular contemporary yet timeless style.
Enric Majoral, together with his son Roc, design and use materials, research, and their own techniques developed in the workshop as an expressive medium. They transform their creations into small artistic objects, into jewelry that accompanies us throughout our lives.

Responsible jewelry
Majoral's strong connection with nature and culture leads us to become aware of our responsibility towards our environment. This is how we create more ethical and sustainable jewelry, governed by values that permeate our activity.
Jewelry must also be a driver of social change; this is why at Majoral we continue to seek the best ways to practice the jeweler's craft while contributing to people's well-being. Carefully selecting materials allows us to limit, or even eliminate, the negative impacts on the environment and society that our activity may generate.
Most of the metals and gems we use follow standards that guarantee their quality and origin. In this regard, since 2014 we have been consumers and distributors of Fairmined certified gold and are certified members of the Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC). This status implies that we adhere to their Code of Practices (COP) and accept supervision of compliance through external audits. We also publish the Code of Ethics and the Common Good Economy Balance Sheet.
Having our own local production gives us the possibility to create jewelry of the highest quality. Working with people who share our values allows us to build chains of trust. This is why we are part of the Origen collective, where we work in network to promote responsible jewelry, and we continue with our Created with... project, collaborating with artists from different disciplines, to bring different and enriching perspectives to the world of jewelry.
