Responsible
materials

Our jewelry is governed by values that permeate our activity and daily life.

Looking for solutions to offer more ethical and sustainable jewelry, we focus on local and in-house production and careful selection of materials, as a result of a constant process of revision and self-improvement.

Metals

We are committed to RJC recycled gold and Fairmined certified ethical gold.

RECYCLED GOLD JEWELRY

Our recycled gold is certified by the Responsible Jewelry Council, an organization that brings together major companies in the jewelry sector and establishes international sustainability standards for the industry. This certification guarantees that we are giving new life to gold that has already been worked and that the metal comes from conflict-free zones.

FAIRMINED CERTIFIED GOLD

Aware that gold mining will not stop, we support initiatives that promote the transformation of the sector towards more sustainable models. For this reason, since 2014, we have been consumers and distributors of Fairmined certified gold.

This certification, created by the Alliance for Responsible Mining (ARM), through external audits and strict supervision, guarantees that the gold comes from small-scale artisanal mines, where the metal is extracted using environmentally friendly methods and generating a positive impact on the lives of mining communities.

Gems

TRACEABLE DIAMONDS

Historically, diamond mining has had a serious impact on the environment. The enormous geopolitical complexity surrounding diamond extraction means that to this day it remains impossible to know 100% of their origin or offer real traceability from the mine to the end customer.

Majoral chooses to create a limited number of diamond pieces in order to maintain good control and meet the ethical and quality standards we set for ourselves. In this way, we offer an alternative for all our customers who wish to make a conscious purchase.

CERTIFIED DIAMONDS

Since 2018, Majoral has committed to incorporating certified diamonds with the creation of the Ethical Diamond Symbol collection, our line of diamonds over 0.25cts.

These diamonds come from conflict-free countries, ensuring extraction that respects the environment and human rights. Each diamond has been analyzed in GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) laboratories, one of the two highest authorities in diamond certification.

Each diamond includes a quality certificate and has an individual code engraved on the girdle – visible under microscope – that specifies its unique and specific qualities.

NATURAL COLOR SAPPHIRES

We understand gems as an expression of our planet's beauty and incorporate them into our jewelry ensuring fair compensation for all those who have been part of their value chain.

Our sapphire supplier, Wennick-Lefèvre, allows us to offer natural, untreated sapphires from Madagascar and Sri Lanka. Thanks to direct contact with mines and gem cutting studies, Wennick-Lefèvre can guarantee that their sapphires come from small-scale artisanal mining, respectful of the environment, whose activity directly benefits the native population.

In-house and local production

All our jewelry is crafted and designed in our workshops in Barcelona and Formentera. Additionally, we collaborate with a network of trusted artisan workshops located in the province of Barcelona, who help us produce stock for our stores, following the strict control and quality requirements of our responsible jewelry.

We accept that jewelry evolves thanks to technological innovations. For this reason, we use a combination of artisanal techniques, resulting from our own experience and inheritance of ancestral knowledge, and incorporate new processes such as laser cutting and 3D modeling.

In this way, we can ensure compliance with our quality standards and offer better service to our customers, adapting to their needs.
