Majoral understands jewellery as a tool of expression that can work alongside different disciplines: art, design, architecture, music, literature, gastronomy… And this is how the “Creat amb...” (Created with) project emerged.

Enric and Roc Majoral collaborate with different creators to bring distinct and enriching points of view to the world of jewellery.

Gilbert Herreyns,
Vibrations pendant

Blued silver and 18-carat gold.
Limited edition of 20 units numbered and signed by the artist.
Formentera, 2018.

Gilbert Herreyns (Brussels, 1942) has lived in the Pityusic Islands since 1973. His entire artistic production stems from the conviction that the goal is not about figurative or abstract painting, but rather about transmitting the vibrations of beings and the elements of life, using the means within his reach.

In this collaboration, Herreyns starts from his exhibition in the MACE in 2015, “The forest and the hands”, choosing the basic element of the installation: an oval juniper branch, in this case with all its texture and tension, which from the technique of micro fusion, becomes silver and gold jewellery, transmitting all the power and energy of the tree to the person who wears it.www.herreyns.com

Willie Marquez,
Filferro (wire) bracelet

Version in silver and 18-carat gold, two different thicknesses.
Limited edition of 6 units of gold and 20 of silver, numbered and signed by the artist.
Eivissa 2018.

Willie Márquez (Jerez de la Frontera, 1968) moved to the island of Ibiza aged 21. He understands his work as an emotional state that is constantly both seen and concealed: shapes, tones that blur and disappear, pieces of paper, lines and strokes give life to his own narrative that is sensed and felt. Márquez is an artist with a great creative inquisitiveness that has led him to explore disciplines such as painting, sculpture, video, photography, jewellery and fashion, or design.

The Filferro bracelet is a small sculpture that accompanies the person and comes alive on the body that wears it.www.williemarquez.com

Alfons Borrell,
Brooch

Silver and 18-carat gold.
Limited edition of 7 units numbered and signed by the artist.
Barcelona, 2019.

Alfons Borrell (Barcelona, 1931 – Sabadell, 2020), renowned abstract painter. His work consists of an early post-impressionist stage and a second expressionist stage that evolved towards abstract painting in 1955, later leading to a minimalist stage with a pure reference to everything. “I look at the landscape, I feel it, I step on it; I greet the water on the lake with a gentle touch, I feed the birds, the fish, and wait for the sun to come out again”.

The brooches created with Majoral have a part of gold thread that is shaped directly by the hand of Alfons Borrell, and each one of them becomes a different and unique doodle.

Blown borosilicate glass, gold fuming and 18-carat Fairmined gold.
Limited edition of 25 pieces, all different, numbered and signed by the artist.

Stella Rahola (Barcelona, 1980), sculptor and architect. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture at the ETSAB (UPC, Barcelona) and one in Art at Goldsmiths University of London. She has exhibited both at home and internationally. We could highlight Babelia and Other Stories in the Fundación VilaCasas (2019), Theory of Happiness in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ibiza (2020), Inviting Life in the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion (Barcelona, 2023), or Notes for a fire in the eyes, MACBA (Barcelona 2021), among others.

Her work examines artisanal techniques – such as blown glass and metal embossing – and she subverts them to their limits, reaching a state of material transformation of an almost uncomfortable fragility, emphasising their life cycle and diluting the binary ontology of life and matter. www.stella.cat
